What MarkPaid helps you do

MarkPaid helps professional firms manage accounts receivable: bring in invoices from a connected system or file, review outstanding balances, and coordinate client follow-up in cases. Your accounting system remains the place to create invoices and maintain accounting records.

These guides describe the current MarkPaid web application. Available controls depend on your account, role, and enabled features. Some workspaces use Controls, Records, and Relationships where others use Settings, Invoices, and Customers.

Set up your workspace

  1. Sign in with your MarkPaid account. If a teammate invited you, use the invited email address and follow the instructions in the invitation.
  2. Open Settings (or Controls) and review your business profile, account time zone, and reply-to address. Save changes in each section you update.
  3. Open Integrations and connect the accounting system your firm uses, or import a CSV or XLSX file. Have an account owner complete connection settings when required.
  4. Open Invoices (or Records). Check several invoice numbers, customers, due dates, outstanding balances, and payment statuses against the source before starting follow-up.
  5. Open Cases to review a customer’s balance, linked invoices, contact details, and timeline. Confirm the intended recipient and follow-up sequence before starting any communication.

Make a daily review routine

  • Check the data connection and last successful sync before acting on balances.
  • Review your Action queue or the Agent workspace’s exceptions when available.
  • Use a case’s Timeline to understand recent messages and changes before contacting the customer.
  • Resolve payment or contact uncertainty before resuming follow-up. A customer’s payment claim needs verification against current payment records.
